The first meeting of the Council on Craftsmanship and Research was officially on September 30, 2004, at Southwestern Oklahoma State University in Weatherford. C. J. Vires was elected president and Anita Blankenship was elected secretary. The Spring 2005 meeting was held March 3, 2005, at NSU.
