This is being posted on behalf of Gina Wekke. If you have questions, please e-mail Gina or Dwayne at the addresses listed below. Thank you.
The following is in response to a couple of questions from the Counselors Only Conference on college admission. Both questions deal with Concurrent Enrollment:
How is Concurrent Enrollment workload calculated?
One-half high school unit is equivalent to 3 semester credit hours of college work.
What is the process for exceeding the full-time Concurrent Enrollment workload?
Students who wish to exceed the 19 hours may petition the higher education institution - I was wrong about the school signing off on it. Policy says: "....Students wishing to exceed these limits may petition the appropriate higher education institution. The appropriate institutional officials will evaluate the student's academic performance and potential for success....." Sorry about the misinformation.
Also, if I am not available, Dwayne is our point person for academic policy. His contact information is dholford at osrhe.edu or 405.225.9141.
Thanks, Gina
