COLLABORATION DURING COVID-19

Better Together
Here's the thing about educators. Yes, we're in unprecedented times. But no matter the crisis, we adjust to support students to the best of our ability. Counselors and principals and graduate mentors have put the needs of their students first, quickly focusing on how to keep doing the job of education while campuses and schools are closed to slow the coronavirus.
Right now at SREB, we are focusing on our roles of supporting educators and convening leaders to find and share solutions. Just a few examples from this ongoing work:

  *   State technology and virtual schools from nine SREB states came together immediately to share ideas and resources. A huge thanks to Superintendent Richard Woods and Georgia Virtual Director Jay Heap for sharing their open education resources for teachers and students.
  *   On very short notice, leaders in six states met with us yesterday on how to help next year's teachers finish their clinical practice teaching while schools are closed. We'll be sharing those ideas next week.
