[S-SARA] ***IMPORTANT*** NC-SARA Update: 2020 Data Reporting Begins NEXT WEEK

Good afternoon SARA Coordinators,

2020 Data Reporting opens next Friday, May 15, 2020. Your institutions will receive notification directly from NC-SARA, so we wanted to inform you of the same. Following are the details:


  *   Data Reporting Window: May 15 - June 30 (extended from June 15).



  *   For your reference - the emails and landing pages that institutions will receive during the data reporting window are attached (attachment #1).



  *   Please note:  NC-SARA will not copy the State Portal Entities on institutional data reporting emails.



  *   New this year:  Due of COVID-19, we anticipate that some institutions may not be able to complete the data reporting. NC-SARA created a form that requires the institution to indicate the reason for non-reporting (see attachment #2). Both the State Portal Entity staff and the Regional Compact SARA Director are required to sign the form before it is forwarded to NC-SARA for final approval.



     *   Action Item: Please review the Non Reporting Form. If you have edits/comments, please send them directly to Marianne Boeke at mboeke at nc-sara.org<mailto:mboeke at nc-sara.org>, and copy your Regional Compact SARA Director by May 13, 2020.  Sorry for the short timeframe!



  *   Timeline for NC-SARA email distribution (attachment #1):



     *   May 14-15       send invitation to report        "...the data reporting window is now OPEN..."
     *   June 1             send first reminder
     *   June 15             send second reminder
     *   June 26            send third reminder: Only 4 days left
     *   June 30           send fourth reminder: Last day to report



  *   Compact To do:  On June 17, 2020, the Regional Compact SARA Directors will send a note to SPEs asking them to send an email to their institutions that have not reported. The email serves the following purposes:



     *   a reminder to institutions that data reporting is important, so please do not ignore the NC-SARA emails.
     *   a notification that if you have not received any data reporting emails to please contact NC-SARA.
