[S-SARA] SARA Update

Good afternoon S-SARA Members and Guests,

We are hopeful this update finds you safe and well during these difficult and changing times! Fall 2020 is well underway and, as a result of some new processes, our fall schedule has changed a bit. Here are important updates on new SARA processes, SARA meeting changes, and meeting cancellations:


  1.  NC SARA Requests Your Feedback on proposed SARA Policy Modifications that go before the board for the Fall 2020 Board Meeting.
     *   NC-SARA emailed institutions directly requesting their feedback. Institutions' responses will go directly to NC-SARA.
     *   SREB emailed SPEs directly requesting your feedback by COB (5PM EDT) Tuesday, September 15, 2020.

                                                              i.      Please email your feedback to SARA at sreb.org<mailto:SARA at sreb.org> for compilation and submission to NC-SARA.


  1.  SREB Will Host a GTW Meeting to discuss the proposed SARA Policy Modifications prior to submitting your responses.
     *   The GTW Meeting is Monday, September 14, 2020 from 2:30pm to 3:30pm EDT.

                                                              i.      SPEs were registered by SREB. Check your email for the join link.

                                                            ii.      The webinar will be recorded for future access.


  1.  The NC-SARA State Portal Entity Meeting is next week!
     *   NC-SARA's Annual SPE Meeting is virtual due to COVID-19. The registration deadline was August 21st, but if you have not registered, please let me know. It was confirmed yesterday that you can still register to attend the SPE Meeting, but your name will not be included in the literature as it has already been printed.
     *   Following are the SPE Meeting days and times. Please check your registration details for specific sessions and be mindful of your time zone:

  1.  Day One          Tuesday, 9/15             10:00am-3:00pm MT
  2.  Day Two           Wednesday, 9/16       10:00am-3:00pm MT
  3.  Day Three       Thursday 9/17            10:00am-3:00pm MT
  4.  Day Four         Friday 9/18                 10:00am-3:00pm MT


  1.  The S-SARA RSC Meeting  is October 21, 2020 from 9:00am to noon EDT.
     *   S-SARA's Fall 2020 RSC meeting is virtual due to COVID-19. The format will mirror the June 2020 meeting as follows:

                                                              i.      Part I - S-SARA Working Meeting on Tuesday, September 20th from noon to 3:30pm EDT (invitation only).

                                                            ii.      Part II - S-SARA RSC Meeting on Wednesday, September 21st from 9:00am to noon EDT.

     *   Registration information will follow in a separate email.



  1.  The 2020 SREB SARA State Programs Conference is cancelled due to COVID-19. SREB's goal is to revisit this professional development conference for Fall 2021.
