[sa-rfp] Summer Academies Technical Assistance meeting from August 22

Good afternoon,
Thank you for attending our Summer Academy Technical Assistance meeting last Thursday.
This list serv is for you to ask questions or share information regarding summer academies.  As Ann Nally stated, there is no need to reinvent the wheel, if anyone needs help or has questions, please ask. I need to clarify this year's funding for our summer academies.   2020 summer academies are funded by state appropriated funds, some leftover funds from 2018 (there was not enough to fund any academies) and also the Oklahoma State Department of Education gave an additional 8% funding from their New Skills for Youth Grant.

Ann mentioned setting up a table about summer academies at the Capitol during the next legislative session.  I spoke with Dr. Blanke and she said we could possibly do that during Higher Ed day.  I'll keep you informed.
