[USAO Housing]

Hello Robertson Residents!

Read below to find more information about this year's check out process. See the attachment for a cleaning checklist that will help you ensure that your check out goes as smooth as possible.

CHECK OUT FAQs


  1.  Do I need to check out with an RA?
     *   Yes! You are required to complete a check out with an RA or a member of the Housing staff. An RA will inspect your room and you will turn in your room keys. Failure to complete a proper check out will result in a fine.
  2.  How do I schedule a check out?
     *   You may check out with an RA during their desk hours.
     *   During finals week, RAs will be stationed at the Lawson and Sparks RA desk. An email will be sent out with those available times.
     *   You can email housing at usao.edu<mailto:housing at usao.edu> to schedule a time to check out.
  3.  What do I do with my mail key?
     *   If you are not returning to housing, you will need to turn in your mail key to Student Services. Do not give your mail key to the housing staff.
  4.  What needs to be completed before checking out?
     *   Your room and common areas must be clean (see attached checklist), all belongings must be removed, all trash taken out, all food removed from refrigerator and cabinets that belongs to you. See cleaning check lists attached.
  5.  What happens if I do not clean my room, bathroom, and other areas?
     *   There is a cleaning fee for those who do not clean appropriate prior to checking out.
  6.  What if I have belongings I no longer want?
     *   You can donate to Goodwill or dispose of them properly. It is not Housing's responsibility. Failure to remove items will result in an item removal fee.
  7.  I am an athlete and my season continues after April 24. What do I do?
     *   Housing is in contact with all coaches whose season continues after April 24. You will receive check out information as your season ends. If you are no longer participating in the rest of the season, you will be required to check out by April 24.
  8.  How many people can help me move out?
     *   You may have up to 4 people to assist you in moving out.
  9.  When do I need to leave if I am participating in graduation?
     *   Graduates and other students playing a role in graduation will need to move out of housing no later than 3 pm on April 25.
