[Counselors] Protocol for Suicidal/Self Harming Students

I don't know about protocol, but I always told my students when they visited with me, that if they shared anything that led me to believe they might harm themselves I was required to share that. I also never let them leave my office without promising me that they would not hurt themselves till I talked to them again. Sounds simple, but seemed to work. Many resources for Suicide Prevention.
