[OSRHEStudent Prep PK-12 Counselor Discussion Board]

Does anyone have any guidance on foreign exchange students? We have a foreign exchange student this year and both the student and host family are under the impression that the student will be classified as a senior and will graduate with an Oklahoma High School diploma. How do schools handle this as far as graduation course requirements go?

  *   We also had a similar situation this year. He is only 15, after receiving some recommendations we concluded to enroll him as a Junior. He could then come back another year vs. if he graduates he cannot come back
if he wanted and there are a lot less hoops to jump through on our end keeping him a Junior.
