> Many of you will recall our discussions at your council meetings this
> past spring about our plans to conduct a review of our state-based
> student financial aid programs to determine whether we are using these
> resources for the best possible outcomes with our students- enhancing
> access, retention and graduation rates at your campuses while

> I am pleased to share that during the summer, we have continued our
> work on this project and have recently contracted with Noel-Levitz
> (www.noellevitz.com) to assist our efforts.  Noel-Levitz is
> enthusiastic about the opportunity to not only evaluate the
> state-based aid programs from a system-wide perspective but to also
> conduct focus groups within the institutional enrollment management
> community to learn more about current practices at the campus level
> and to offer meaningful recommendations.

> We are currently working closely with the Noel-Levitz team to design a
> schedule of activities.  In addition to focus group meetings,
> institutions will have the opportunity to participate in a light data
> gathering exercise that will provide Noel-Levitz with information
