[Cobo] FW: Action Needed on the Decentralization of Direct Deposit

Please review the attached information regarding the implementation of
the Direct Deposit Bill beginning January 1, 2005.  You must designate
an individual or individuals on your campus to complete the direct
deposit enrollment process for your employees on the OPM system. 

 

The direct deposit employee enrollment process is being decentralized so
your agency will have access to the OPM system once you have returned
the attached security forms.  Beginning January 1, 2005, your agency
will log into the direct deposit system and enter all new employees
rather than mailing enrollment forms to OPM for entry.

 

The persons designated must attend a training session on either December
9 or December 10th.  There are two sessions scheduled on each of those
dates.

 

Please respond directly to OPM as requested in the attached memo with
the security authorizations and work with their staff to be sure that
Ids and passwords are assigned prior to December 9th.   Please be sure
that your payroll office or human resources offices are prepared for
this change in procedure.  Thanks.
