Subject:          Request from Secretary of Budget Mike Mazzei – FY21 Budget Scenario


Secretary of Budget Mike Mazzei has requested that our colleges and universities provide detailed information with regard to a potential FY21 budget cut scenario of 3 percent.

Accordingly, Secretary Mazzei has requested that we ask each college and university to submit a narrative response that specifies the negative impacts that a 3 percent budget cut would have on your respective campuses, faculty, staff, and students. Please be as specific as possible on the negative impacts to particular programs and functions that a 3 percent reduction in state appropriations would impose upon your operations in FY21.

For your reference, we have attached the breakdown of the potential financial impact on your institution at the three (3.0) percent reduction levels (Attachment A).

Please return the completed narrative response to Interim Vice Chancellor for Budget and Finance Sheri Mauck at smauck at osrhe.edu<mailto:smauck at osrhe.edu> by 12:00 p.m. on Friday, April 10, 2020 so that the information can be compiled and submitted to Secretary Mazzei by his requested deadline of Monday, April 13.
