[Eoscstudents] Menu for TGI Friday Sept. 18

Hi folks,

Well, the rain seems to have let up today, at least so far.  We're 
hoping it will hold off this evening, too, since we have the big annual 
Choctaw Nation GED Graduation and Dinner on campus. 

Happy Birthday wishes go out today to Cindy Waldrop, Administrative 
Assistant in the Student Support Services office.  Hope she has a great day!

And Happy Gear Up Day!  I noticed in the Wilburton paper and on our web 
site that Mayor Brinlee had signed a proclamation naming today as Gear 
Up Day in Wilburton in honor of our great Gear Up group here on campus 
and all the hard work and PR they do for the college, and for area 
school children, in trying to get them "geared up" for college in a few 
years.  I don't know why today was the particular date picked for this, 
unless it has something to do with Linda Morgan's birthday being 
tomorrow, and this was as close as they could come during the work 
week.  I hope Linda has a great day, too, but as much of a character as 
she is, I know she will.

Our menu for today includes:
             Hot wings
             BBQ sandwiches
             Criss cross fries
             Broccoli
             Macaroni and cheese
             Black eyed peas
             Cornbread

And for dessert have a yummy Peanut Butter and Chocolate Brownie.

P. S.  For you folks (like me) who like nature, check out the activities 
at Robber's Cave State Park this evening and tomorrow.  They'll be doing 
a big "inventory" of plants and animals found in the park, and having 
several educational sessions open to interested parties.  Some things 
will start this evening, and tomorrow's activities will kick off with a 
"Bird Walk" at 8:00 a.m.  I hope I get to be there!
