[Eoscstudents] Dr. Dale to speak MONDAY!

Dear Eastern Family, 

 

TODAY, Monday, February 26th, 2018, from 12:00 noon - 1pm, Dr. Dale Smith
will be speaking in the Johnnie Wray Theater. 

 

Dr. Dale, as he is affectionately called,  is the founder of the American
Kids. This "Little League of Big Entertainers" was founded here in Oklahoma
(see below for more information).  He will be speaking about careers in
music and performing arts. 

 

Dr. Dale earned his Bachelor and Masters in Music at the University of
Illinois. He earned his Doctorate in School Administration at the University
of Tulsa. He is a retired music teacher and high school principal. He is a
retired United States Air Force Veteran holding the rank of Major. The
Oklahoma State Legislature, titled him as "Oklahoma's Singing Ambassador."

 

Dr. Dale has traveled all of the United States and many parts of the world
performing!  He is also a renowned musician who has written many songs about
Oklahoma, including a national tour of his musical about Will Rogers.  Some
Oklahoma Kids Alumni that Dr. Dale has worked with include Blake Shelton,
Carrie Underwood, Kristen Chenoweth, and Darci Lynne Farmer, the most recent
winner of America's Got Talent.

American Kids, Inc. was founded in 1982.  Dr. Dale Smith founded American
Kids in Oklahoma, as a means to celebrate Oklahoma's 75th birthday.  His
dream of building integrity through entertainment within a safe value-laden
family environment has embraced literally thousands of remarkable parents

American Kids, Inc is the only grassroots organization of its kind.
