[MainstreetManagers] New Director Training

Good afternoon Main Street.  As I mentioned on the Friday zoom call, we are continuing the new director training.  Unfortunately, we were not able to provide the leadership sessions when we learned the four points and the Main Street approach earlier in the year.  Below is the schedule and Anna will send out the zoom information.  The is required training for new directors, but everyone is invited.

October 20th, 11:30 am - 1:00pm: Building an Inclusive Leadership Base
Ø  A closer look at our organizational structure and culture
Ø  Assessing our leadership base - opportunities to grow (internal and external)
Ø  Roles between - priorities, projects, and program management
o   Opportunity to include a Main Street Director (or two) to share tips
Ø  Developing a Solid Volunteer Leadership Development Program
Ø  Prep time for tomorrow's session(s)
o   Questions and/or worksheet (s) related to budget and fund-development


October 22nd, 11:30 am - 1:00 pm: Standing on Solid Ground
Ø  A review on our multi-faceted roles
Ø  Managing expectations
o   Opportunity to include a Main Street Director (or two) to share tips
Ø  Professional conduct and ethical values in leading Main Street
Ø  The value and need for continuous education and professional development
