[Oacrao-l] Utilizing Student Workers in the Office of the Registrar

At OSU-OKC, we utilize student workers to help primarily with imaging and some very basic duties.  Our veterans office is a part of the Registrar's office and those students work the front counter/phones and do some limited activities in the student records system.

My administration is taking a look at how departments utilize student workers in key areas throughout the University and ask that I survey other schools within OACROA.

 

What is your school policy on utilizing student workers in the Office of the Registrar?  If you do utilize student workers, what duties do you allow them to perform?

Does your institution require SSN for application/admission purposes? 

If Yes, how do you inform students of the SSN disclosure? 

If Yes, how do you process applications for students with no SSN, or who do not wish to provide?
