[Oacrao-l] Utilizing Student Workers in the Office of the Registrar

At RSU we utilize student workers in the Registrar's office to assist with filing and imaging student records. Each student worker must complete a FERPA disclosure statement and rarely deals with students in their everyday job functions. During our busy times...like now, they will retrieve voicemails off the main number, and work any lines  of students waiting to see us by providing schedules, drop add forms, and basic instruction so the students will have completed what we need when they see us.

Hello,
OSUIT utilizes student workers in much the same way as ORU. They serve at the main reception desk for our area, image and file student records and have limited access to our student database. Each student worker must complete a FERPA training and sign a FERPA disclosure statement.

Good morning,  Bobbie.  We couldn't survive in our office without our student workers.  Oftentimes we have them serve at our reception desk.  Their other primary area of responsibility is to assist in filing and maintaining our file room.  They are granted limited access to the student database and they all sign a FERPA disclosure statement before starting.
