We do the same at SE. A student must submit a new application after
sitting out for one fall or spring semester.

At Oklahoma State University, undergraduate students are required to submit
an updated application for admission if one full spring or fall semester has
passed with no recorded attendance or formal withdrawal.

Subject: [Oacrao-l] State Regents Staff Question
Greetings OACRAO Members, I hope this e-mail finds you all doing well in the
midst of spring graduation certification! I have a question, on behalf of
our strategic planning and analysis (SPA) department, that I hope you all
can help me with.
For those students otherwise in satisfactory academic standing, after how
many months of non-enrollment will a student be required to re-apply for
admission from their last date of attendance at your campus? As an example,
at one of the research institutions, a student will need to re-apply for
admission after 12 months since their last date of attendance. Our SPA
department has been directed to develop a definition, for their purposes, of
stop-outs (i.e., students that stop attending for personal reasons) for data
collection purposes and asked me for some guidance, in which I turn to the
experts.
Please let me know if you have any questions or need further clarification.
Best regards,
José
