[Oacrao-l] Releasing Parchment Transcripts for Student's with Holds

Hello, everyone!

I hope you all had a wonderful and restful winter break before coming back
to the madness of kicking off the spring semester.

NSU uses Parchment for electronic and print and mail transcripts.  We
occasionally want to approve an exception in extenuating circumstances to
allow a single transcript to be sent to a specific recipient.  If we
release the hold, even for a short period of time, there is nothing to
prevent the student from requesting multiple transcripts or from having a
transcript sent to an unapproved recipient.  Currently, we would have to
print and mail the transcript or create a walk-up order to control this but
we'd like to avoid that if possible.

For those of you who use Parchment for electronic and/or paper transcript
requests, do you have a policy or process for releasing a single transcript
for students who have a transcript hold?  If so, will you please share any
insights, suggestions?
