[Oasfaa] ATTENTION CONFERENCE Attendees!

I wanted to remind you of a few things regarding the conference and other OASFAA needs. 





1. Wear Thunder attire for the entire conference, but especially Wednesday and Thursday . We have a Thunder Sr VP opening the conference on Wednesday and Thunder guests on Thursday evening, so Thunder Up! The downtown businesses are also gearing up for playoffs, so if you venture out to Bricktown during the conference, you will notice the Thunder excitement all around you! 





2. Bring your books or cash donations for our service project, Thunder Cares. They requested paperback books for 3-5 graders and stated cash donations are great as well! We will have our basket auction again this year and I'm really excited about some of the items you'll get to bid on, so bring cash to buy your tickets! 





3. We need a candidate to run for President Elect. We have one person on the ballot, but what's an election without at least 2 candidates? This particular position is important and prior committee chair and/or board experience is helpful. You will have a year to learn from the President and Past President about what to do during your President year, so if you don't feel confident, don't worry. You will feel well-trained by the time you need to be. So, what's in it for you? OASFAA pays for the President Elect to attend the NASFAA Leadership conference in Washington DC during the president elect year, and the SWASFAA conference and NASFAA conference during the President year. You also get to spend time with the great people on the OASFAA board and committees. We have a lot of fun and always learn a lot from each other. Let me know if you want to run or if you have questions! 





4. As current President Elect, I need committee chairs for next year. There are many options and we have something that will fit your strengths. Talk to me at the conference and we will figure out what works best for you! If you're not attending the conference, email or call me. Conference attendance is not a requirement to be involved in OASFAA. 



5. The Local Arrangements and Program committees have worked hard to put a great conference together. If you have ideas or suggestions for topics for future conference, please find me at the conference and let's talk! We want to make sure the conference meets everyone's needs if at all possible.
